BLUE AND WHITE EVERYWHERE ….  So many great ideas to make their dream of a simple wedding day come true, surrounded by family and friends. And isn’t that what most of us want?  Narelle and Emrah thought of everything – from spray painted molded doylies to hold tealight candles, to colouring books for all the children – and my favourite, the avenue of blue and white balloons that not only welcomed their guests but provided the perfect aisle for Narelle and her dad Geoff, to walk her in.

My favourite moments of the day were varied.  Narelle and Emrah have an adorable little boy called Callum and by the time she arrived at 5pm, he hadn’t seen her all day.  So before Narelle came in from the car, family took Callum out to see her so she could have some time with her little boy before all the excitement began.  This was such a good idea and worked so well for both mum and toddler.

I always look forward to ANY laughter within a ceremony as it means the ceremony has some soul to it and it also relieves a lot of tension.  Let’s just say that Emrah slipped up on one vital word that had us all in stitches!  I thoroughly enjoyed watching them laughing as well as their guests and I can’t wait to see the photos from their photographer Melanie at Mel D Photography – www.meldesa.com.au.

Lastly, my favourite moment was when we were due to sign the legal documents and a family member came up and gave Emrah their phone, showing him a live stream of his father, who had been watching the whole ceremony from Cyprus.  To see Emrah’s face go from happiness to tears of joy was such an emotional moment and one that I feel privileged to have been there to witness.

Such a warm couple and a joy to marry.  I wish them so much happiness with their little boy and hope all their dreams of travel and a bigger family come true.
